CASE STUDY 1
How an Australian drug distributor improved its order management process and increased departmental productivity
1. Background
Client was one of the leading drug distributor in Australia. They had multiple store locations across the city and 50+ employees.
2. Requirement
The company needed a web application that would allow different aspects of their business:
- Allow drug or medical equipment manufacturers and pharmacy stores to generate and process the order
- Manage inventory
- Streamline process delivery
- Maintain stock enabled through features such as minimum stock level alerts and notifications
- Monitor operations through receipt of accurate, detailed and timely information about the activities
3. Approach
We conducted a set of interviews with the stakeholders. We based these on systematic and thorough research of the industry, best practices, regulations, and the various types of other applications available in the market.
Stakeholders further provided us with information on their employees’ workflows, critical mistakes they generally made, and the types of reports they generated. This process helped us identify essential functionalities and design user-centric interfaces. We adopted an agile method of development to leverage our learnings from iterations.
4. Solution
ScriptBrains developed a web-based solution for managing their sales, order processing, inventory, and delivery. The application also automated reporting.

CASE STUDY 2
How a US-based claim settlement agency streamlined its ecosystem to expedite its claim verification process.
1. Background:
Client was a claim settlement agency involved in claim settlement activities with multiple healthcare ecosystems.
2. Requirement:
Client needed a web portal that would have the following features:
- Allow them to log claim details
- Submit details for verification
- Gather and track details of different activities through integration with multiple external interfaces/ APIs
- Migrate data from an existing standalone system
- Incorporate overlap between legacy and new architecture
3. Approach
We were dealing with large volumes of confidential data that included sensitive patient information. This information had to be migrated accurately and processed in a revised workflow. Our requirement- gathering phase involved talking to experts and operators to understand the current workflow, the new and expected needs from the new system, desired functionalities, and the glitches in the workflows that they wanted to be removed.
We also had detailed interviews with the department’s technical support to identify integration points with external interfaces or APIs, and any specific constraints or considerations.
This set of requirements informed our design considerations for the interface. It also helped us integrate different validation checks that would work in that context.
4. Solution
ScriptBrains developed one of the independent modules focused on claim submission and patient and claim details verification.
