Client Stories
CASE STUDY 1
How UK’s Leading Custom Clearance Agency (CCA) used a web-based to improve traceability in sea-borne trade.
1. Background
One of UK’s leading CCA was handling much of the country’s sea-borne trade. It monitored multiple ports and was responsible for tracking numerous routes.
2. Requirement
CCA needed a web application to manage the vehicles and improve communication. To control logistic movements, customers needed to receive accurate, detailed, and timely information about vessels’ arrivals and departures.
3. Approach
Our team conducted a systematic and thorough investigation of user personas, workflows, and the critical challenges that the company faced. This method involved in-depth interviews with stakeholders to understand current workflows.
Although we did our standard requirements-gathering process, in this project, we focused more on a few crucial areas – the user roles that would be using the information, the various parameters for which we would need to gather data from, and the design of a system architecture that was both flexible and scalable. We also designed modules in smaller chunks and tested them in a real-world environment. We then collated feedback and used them to revise the design.
4. Solution
ScriptBrains developed a web-based logistics management software application. We designed this application to manage the allocation of vehicles to ports based on their shipping schedules.
Features of the solution:
- Customized software and database to align with the client's requirements.
- The software portal confirms the arrival and departure of import and export vehicles from all the ports at multiple destinations.
- The solution utilized standard protocols to communicate with all the vehicles.
- Could generate summary reports and facilitate notifications.
CASE STUDY 2
How an American cab company increased its bookings.
1. Background:
A US-based cab service provided customers with an extensive selection of vehicles and flexible engagement options. They took bookings in advance over the phone.
2. Requirement:
To scale operations, the company needed a web-based application that would:
- Allow them to manage vehicles
- Make the booking process easier for their customers
- Streamline operations by providing details on vehicle availability
- Improve customer experience by notifying customers through the car booking process or getting driver contact details.
3. Approach
We worked with the client to understand the various modalities of their business. This method helped us identify which portions of their process clients wanted to automate.
This design required us to understand the processes and workflows in detail. We worked closely with the customer to identify pain points contextual to this industry. For example, incorrect fare calculation, lack of transparency on vehicle availability, delayed customer support, and more. We also created a framework incorporating CRM functionality to manage customer preferences and details, rental history, etc. However, we understood that the central essence that the company wanted to focus on was to make the booking process seamless and easy for the customer.
4. Solution
ScriptBrains developed a web-based cab booking software application to manage the booking and allocation of vehicles to customers. It would capture, track, and share the fare, driver, and arrival time details.
Features of the solution:
- Portal for booking can rentals
- Notification feature for customers about ride confirmation
- Integration with Google map for calculating the fare at the time of booking
- Mapping and sending notifications to drivers about booking
- Collecting customer feedback
- Generating multiple reports with operational details from the ride
- Integration with Google map for calculating the fare at the time of booking
CASE STUDY 3
How India’s IoT device manufacturer improved its vehicle trackers that could convert technical data meaningfully for end-customers.
1. Background:
One of India’s leading IoT device manufacturer installs IOT devices on vehicles to keep track of them. The information was often technical and needed to be more easily understood by the end-consumer.
2. Requirement:
The client needed customized software to interpret the communication from hardware/ IOT devices. The software also had to convert the communication to meaningful data and showcase it to the end-customer. The final goal was to gather and disseminate accurate, detailed, and timely information about vehicles. This information would include:
- Vehicle location
- Gas consumption
- Driver information
- Ignition ON/OFF details
- Engine and container temperature etc
3. Approach
We then collated feedback and used them to revise the design
This method would help us better design the software’s interfaces so that the end customers could easily understand and use technical data.
4. Solution
ScriptBrains developed a web-based tracking and monitoring
application to manage the vehicles running nationwide.

CASE STUDY 4
How a leading cab/ ride-hailing service provider helped customers who could not find public transport or found it inaccessible
1. Background:
A leading ride-hailing service provided on-demand services to people who could not locate public transport in an area or could not access them. The company offered two variations of service: shared rides and taxis.
2. Requirement:
To streamline their ride reservation process and streamline operations, the company needed a web portal that would:
- Handle ride reservations, customer registration, and notifications
- Be integrated with Yahoo map and calculate ride fares accordingly
- Factor in discount calculations based on specific social criteria
- Track and provide accurate, detailed, and timely information about vehicles
- Monitor reservations and vehicle
3. Approach
Based on this, we set up different modules and components in the solution that will ease and simplify the process of customers locating and booking a ride. We also seamlessly integrated this with some of the existing systems.
4. Solution
